Moss Avenue is a street in Peoria, Illinois, that is full of history. It has many landmarks, such as the Pettengill-Morron house and the Frank Lloyd Wright house. It is also full of interesting historical facts. The area surrounding Moss Avenue has even been dubbed an historical district by the city of Peoria. Residents of the district must follow certain rules that were put in place to protect and beautify the area.
Early in Peoria’s history, the area surrounding Moss Avenue was the upper-class area of town. Nearly all the houses along the avenue were large for their time, and only the extremely wealthy could afford to live there. Then over time, the area began to deteriorate. It became a lower-class area until around 1980. During this unfortunate time, many of the houses suffered damage. Some time later many of the local residents decided to do something about the situation, and they founded the Moss-Bradley Association. This took place between 1970 and 1980. The new organization established rules for all those living in the area, with the area surrounding Moss Avenue having the strictest laws. Even now people must follow these rules and get special permission from the city ofPeoria to do any exterior renovations to their properties. The Moss-Bradley Association continues to protect the area to this day.
The Pettengill-Morron house is located on 1212 West Moss Avenue. Built in 1883, it has been home to many. During the times of slavery and racial oppression, it was used as part of the Underground Railroad. Today, many neighborhood events take place there. Another historical landmark found on Moss Avenue is a house designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The current owners of the house bought it not knowing this and later discovered that it was actually worth a small fortune because of its architect.
Moss Avenue is a street that has gone through difficult times, and has recovered. It has many old homes; some of which were used in the Underground Railroad. Even famous architects have designed homes on this magnificent street.

The overriding rule on home business expenses is that you may not have a loss (for tax purposes) resulting from deductions for the business use of your home. OBJECTIVE: To identify the outcomes of power mobility devices for middle-aged and older adult users, and to critically appraise the research evidence. Articles were (i) mapped to the Taxonomy of Assistive Technology Device Outcomes, which describes categories of impact of assistive devices from the vantages of effectiveness, social significance, and subjective well-being; and (ii) appraised using the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation criteria. RESULTS: This review retained 19 studies and identified 52 different categories of impacts of power mobility devices spanning the three vantages of the taxonomy. The coverage of outcome dimensions was not as extensive for adults age 50 and over as it was for mixed-age groups. Most of the research designs were assigned very low evidence grades. Three studies were low to moderate in quality of evidence, among which one was a randomized trial. CONCLUSIONS: A vast array of potential impacts of powered mobility devices have been described in the last decade. The level of quality of this evidence is improving, but most of these studies were not designed to verify causal relationships, and this is largely responsible for the absence of unequivocal evidence for directly attributing benefits to devices themselves and for quantifying relationships between power mobility device intervention and outcome. To raise the level of evidence about power mobility device interventions in older adults, studies are needed that use prospective designs, better-defined user groups, and well-grounded conceptual frameworks for measuring interventions and outcomes

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of handrim size (0.54, 0.43, and 0.32 m) on mechanical energy and power flow during wheelchair propulsion. METHODS: Twelve young normal male adults (mean age 23.5 years old) were recruited in this study. Both 3-D kinematic and kinetic data of the upper extremity were collected synchronously using a Hi-Res Expert Vision motion system and an instrumented wheel during wheelchair propulsion. FINDINGS: The kinetic, potential and total mechanical energy of the upper extremity increased as the handrim size increased. For each upper arm segment, the joint translational power and the rotational power of the proximal joint increased with increasing handrim size. The work done during a complete propulsion cycle with the larger handrim size is significantly larger than that using a smaller handrim (P<0.05). INTERPRETATION: The increased kinetic, potential and total mechanical energy were due to the increased linear velocity and the elevated positions of the upper extremity segments. The shoulder and trunk flexors increased the magnitude of their concentric contractions during propulsion with the large handrim as increased output power is required. By using mechanical energy and power flow analysis techniques, we evaluated the previously-reported effect of handrim size on mechanical cost and provided insight into the relationship between the two.

Local radio and TV. Many radio stations have local talk shows. Call the directors and see if they are interested in discussing your new business. Radio ads give you the flexibility to choose the audience that will hear your advertisement. This can be done by choosing the station and time of day the ad is broadcast. The radio sales agent can help you to design your ad to meet your goals.
Television ads can be effective but are very expensive to produce and run. Local cable companies may provide low cost space on their cable access page. Shows like QVC and other home shopping shows are popular and effective, but you must have a significant supply on hand that can be shipped immediately. Many of these items have long-term use and make good seasonal gifts. You could print stickers or labels to attach to every product. However, labels may be expensive. Weigh the cost and the advantages of the items depending on your particular business.

Selling on Consignment. You may choose to sell on consignment, where the retail store displays your products, advertises and sells them for you.
